Christmas

on the 24th my uncle, aunt, nephew who is 4 and my causin who is 19 with her boyfriend came to visit us and stayed till the 26th only my causin and her boyfriend left the next day in the evening. well we had a great time together. when they arrived we eat dinner together and after we showed them our pictures from the states and they seen the video we made from our trip. the next day we eat breakfast at my parents house and after we went by two cars to the camping to show my family our mobile home the weather wasn't that good to stay to long cause it was snowing and inside the mobile home it was very cold like outside so nobody wanted to go for a walk on the camping so we left back home. where we started to eat taco's, nacho's and burrito's and for dessert we made this marshmellow salad with fruit and sour cream through it. they all liked the food. after dinner we said bye to my causin and her boyfriend. the rest of us went to play some games on the wii till late at night. the next day my nephew wanted to play more on the wii and he wanted to play mario kart so we put on the wii and he played really almost all day till dinner time we eat pizza and after dinner we had to say bye to my uncle, aunt and nephew cause they left back home. it was a great christmas and went by to fast.

christmas eve

today my uncle, aunt, little nephew and my causin with her boyfriend arrived and they will celebrate christmas with us. this evening we eat spaghetti and after we showed them our pictures from america and some of our video's and they really liked it a lot. Probably soon we will go to sleep. what the plans are tomorrow i don't know yet it will be the first christmas day so tomorrow more news.

my holidays in the States

the beginning of november we left by plane to the states me and my parents we stayed for a month. first we stayed one night in LA and after we went to las vegas where we stayed for 12 days. we stayed in hotel circus circus and really liked it a lot. the hotel has an adventuredome inside its a fun fair with 25 rides they got a rollercoaster and a swining ship and lots of more things. the weather was good and the sun was shining every day so every day we walked around on the boulevard all the way to the last casino and back we saw a lot of casino's inside and even the toilets and every single toilet in the casino's were diffrent decoration with the style of the casino. we did two excursions when we were in las vegas one to the valley of fire a very nice nature and to the hooverdam. after we drove to zion and bryce canyon. we stayed one day in zion and one day in bryce canyon. it was very cold freezing cold but i really enjoyed the nature at those parks. we had done one hiking trip but we found the hiking to late so it got almost dark so we could not do the whole trail. after we drove back to las vegas where we stayed a few more days and than we left to my family in san luis obispo. we stayed their 12 days but they went very quick :-( i really enjoyed spending time with my family. we celebrated thanksgiving and sinterklaas with the family. at the hotel we stayed their was a swimmingpool and a spa so i went into the spa and pool a lot. we had some excursions we did like seeing the sealions and went to moro bay and this small danish town and to the aquarium in monterey. last week we arrived back to holland so its weird being back so hope we will go back soon again to the states. i really had a great time.

celebration my dad's birthday

Yesterday morning around 09:30 me and my dad went to get Gabi at my place and than we went back to the camping by car. when we arrived not that late some of the people at the camping came by and we eat cake and drink coffee and tea. later me and gabi went off to the canadian cemetery. she never has seen that and its in the woods near the camping so she really liked to see that. when we came back after a while the people left but not that much later my brother richard arrived and soon my brother albert his wife karen and their two boys stef and lars came. me and gabi took the boys to the big playground where we watched the boys playing and running after each other real brotherhood love :-) when they got tired after one hour we went back to the caravan and we had something to drink. lars wanted watch some tv and stef learned how to use facebook. later around diner time we came up with the idea to eat diner at a chinese restaurant nearby the camping so that was fun and after diner everyone left back home. it was a good time.

Family day at drouwerzand

last sunday the 20th of september we had this family day reunion at drouwerzand a fun fair and you just pay 11 euro's and everything is for free the rides and the food and drinks are free so thats really great. first we had some coffee all together and talked. the two little kids franka and damian already left to the rides so we did not see them that much. when i finished my coffee i went in the first ride it was a butterfly carousel that went up and did not go that fast so it was nice than i went for a second time with my mom. later she went in a other ride and i went in this pirate ship by myself and i was a little nervous but when the ride was finished i loved it more than that carousel butterfly thing so i went like more than 10 times and i just loved it. i eat like 6 icecream and 3 french fries and one kroket and a lot of limonade as well. also i went with franka and damian in a sort of swing that looks like a pirate ship but turned around everytime. with franka i went in the pirate ship and rollercoaster so it was a fun day. the adults had a good time too so hopefully we will be going to drouwerzand more :-)

night marathon

friday evening my mom and i went to haaksbergen by car for the night marathon that would start at 22:00 at the market in haaksbergen. when we arrived at the sporthal we got our start numbers and chip and got ready for the walk. 5 minutes before the start we walked to the start than we had a little talk from director of the town and this girl ingrid prigge she could give the start shot so at 22:00 we went for the walk first we had an honor walk through the city of haaksbergen and when we came back at the start the walk kind of started first we walked 12km to the watermolen their we had a small break eat a krentenbol and drink tea and went to the bathroom from their we went back to the bouwmeester this sporthall where we got some soup to eat than we had a walk of 10km to rietmolen where we eat a bread and drink tea after that their was a stop after 6km at a farm where we had a krentenbol and tea and a apple and from their it was just 3km to the bouwmeester and that was our end of the walk we arrived at 08:00 in the morning. it was hard night and my muscles were hurting and got some blisters but still loved it a lot especcially the sun rising in the morning. it was not cold at night. so up to next year marathon :-)

nature at the camping

we've have got a lot of nature near the camping. yesterday we walked through the woods with my dog and we saw a youngh deer crossing the road and when we came closer it stayed 5 meters from us and looked at us and we looked at the deer and it was really nice to see. bad luck i did not have had my camera with well hopefully next time when i got my camera i see the deer again. we also have seen squirels and wild rabbits. i just love camping near the woods :-)

birthday of my uncle

sunday morning very early we left the camping by car and hadded back home dropped my dog rocky at my place and left by car to friesland to my uncle and aunt. my uncle had his birthday some days before. we had some presents for their little boy Sven so it kind of looked like sven had a birthday. soon the whole family was sitting in the garden with coffee/tea and cake so it was nice being all together again after summer. when the half of the family left i went with my two causens, nephew and the boyfriend of my eldest causen by car to this nakedfoodpath and we had a walk through it and it was a lot of fun :-) and we had good weather too. when we arrived back we eat diner together and than my parents wanted to leave so we left back home. when i came back home i went behind the internet and watched some tv and than i tried to get some sleep. well i had a great day with my family.

mobile home

Yesterday my parents bought this very nice mobile home on a camping near by our city. so this morning my mom picked me up and i stayed the whole day at the camping and it was very nice. we eat lunch in a small village near by the camping and their was this very small fun fair so we walked around on the fair a bit than went back to the camping. my parent bought this sort of swing and i lied down on it and it was just relaxing.after i went to the swimming pool of the camping and had a swim after i went back and we went to the chinees to buy food and we eat some diner than my mom brought me back home by car. i had a wonderfull day......hopefully more wonderfull days to come :-)and those days came true. i'm at the mobile home since we've bought it and really enjoy it a lot since the weather is good too. i go swimming a lot and we've had some bingo nights as well. the last bingo evening my mom and i won. we walk a lot with our dog rocky in the woods and he really enjoys walking through the woods. every day we walk to this town and buy ice cream and even my dog gets a bite and he can't even wait anymore when my mom and i eat ice cream aaaahhhh.....we got nice neighbors as well. saturday early in the evening we went by and had something to drink and than more people came by and sat down and this lady she made soup and we laughted and talked and had a good evening all together :-)

my summer vacation in Tenerife

well at the moment i am already in tenerife for three weeks and i stay for another three weeks together with my mom. the first weeks we went very often to the beach and swimming in the ocean. right now since two weeks our friends are at the hotel so we now stay more often at the hotel near the swimmingpool. some days ago we walked the masca kloof and it was really a good walk but hard. we had to climb down over rocks small and very big ones and when we were at the end we could have a swim in the ocean till the speedboat picked us up. it was really fun. next week we probably do another boat trip, a walking trip and hopefully we will take the bus to the highest mountain of the iland called the teide. well more to write later. we also did one boattrip on the catamaran called one 4 u and we saw the wales and dolphins and its was sooo fun. the dolphins made a little show they jumped all together. the last week we went to the siam park its a water park with a lots of slides and one wave swimming pool as well. we went a lot to La Karina this year. its a restaurant nearby our hotel sol tenerife and they had some times in the week a country and line dance so you could dance too if you wanted and it was a lot of fun. we went walking a lot and ofcourse went to the beach too a lot. the 6 weeks in tenerife went too fast.

mariken run 2009

this morning i woke up at 07:25 and got myself ready and put on my running clothes. when i looked out of the window i saw that it was raining outside but it was not cold. i eat some breakfast and went outside with my dog than i left to my mom's place to see if she was ready and she was ready too so we went by car to the train station where we met more ladies of our running team. they all went to nijmegen for the marikenrun cause this run is only for women :-) so no men are allowed to run this race :-) the way to nijmegen was fun in the train and in no time we were in nijmegen where we had to take this small train to another station in nijmegen it was just one station further so we went out of the train and walked to the place the start would be.First we picked up our t-shirts and we bought this pink cap as well. the 5km started at 13:00 and everyone had their own color so they knew in which box they had to wait for the start. before we had this warming up when we were in our boxes waiting so that was fun a lot of people doing warming up together. it was still a little chilly and very cloudy but when we started the sun came through and it started to get a litter warmer so that was good. the run went fine. my mom also tried to run she has some problems with her knee but really wanted to run so badly but she did very good on it she had the time on the 5km of 34:00 and i had this time of 33:00 on the 5km. the 10km started at 14:00 so when we were back we watched the 10km coming over the finish. than we left back home. it was a fun day so up to next year marikenrun :-)

marathon enschede 2009

sunday morning i woke up around 07:20 and got myself ready and put on my running clothes. my uncle and aunt came the day before and stayed one night at my house. they were ready and left to my parents house to have breakfast. when i was ready i went outside with the dog and went to my parents house too to eat some breakfast. at 09:00 we left by car to enschede. when we arrived my other uncle, aunt, my causin and her boyfriend were already at the place we should meet so we said hi to each other and walked all to the saxion to get our start numbers after someone made a group picture of us all together. than not much later i went to the start cause i left at 11:00. 10 minutes before i stood at the start and i was a little nervous. the others had to take busses to the placees where they had to start running. i runned 6 and half km at 11:45 i came at the finish where my uncle hans had to run 5km than laurens had to run 7km than my causin had to run 7km her dad had to run 8km and my aunt had to run 7km. we all were already near the finish and when we saw my uncle and aunt coming we runned with all of us to the finish :-) it was really fun but warm too during the run. next year i will run the half 21km for the second time i hope :-)

tukkerstocht

today i woke up at 08:30 and put my walking clothes and shoes on. eat some breakfast got outside with my dog and after i walked to my parents house. around 10:00 me and my dad left to albergen for this tukkerstocht walk of 18km. well you could choose between 12, 18, 25 and 40 so me and my dad decided to walk 18km. we started at 11:00 and before 14:00 we arrived back at the finish in albergen. the walk was really good. a few toilets on the route, the weather was good and the walk was good too. my mom decided to come by bike to albergen to meet us at the finish and when she saw us she decided to go back home by bike. it was a fun walking together with my dad and i am happy that we spent some hours together walking and do something fun we both like. well up to next year tukkerstocht and hopefully with good weather too.

2nd easter day

this morning i woke up very early around 08:30 i was awake and put on my running clothes . i still did not decided if i would run the 10km or just 5km but well i still had the time to think about that. when i had my running clothes on and shoes i went downstairs to eat some breakfast and went out with my dog and gave him something to eat. than i left to my mom's house she was almost ready too so i went back to my place and got my bike out of my garage and went back to my mom's house she had her bike out of the garage too and we left by bike to the FBK stadion. when we arrived their we got ourselfs ready went twice to the toilet and i decided to run 5km and hopefully a fast 5km. a few people from our sunday morning running practise did also the 5km. the run was nice and a good route too this year.the whole race i was in front of my mom :-) so that was good only the last km she tried to get in front of me but it did not work out for my mom cause of her knee that started too hurt so i was first who came over the finish and than my mom. my time was 33:15 with the 5km and my mom had a time of 33:39. i'm okey with the time but i hoped that i had 32: something but well maybe next time.
after the race we talked to some friends who had a son that did run the 21km and their daughter in law runned the 10km so we talked a little bit to them and than left back home by bike. when we came back home we eat some lunch and left by car to my uncle and aunt and their two daughters in heerenveen. where we celebrated the birthday of my aunt. my other uncle and aunt with their little boy and daughter were already their when we arrived and they sat in the garden. it was nice seeing them again. we also celebrated the up coming birthday of my little nephew and a little bit of my birthday too. before diner we went to the playground with our nephew and he really liked it a lot. when we came back we had diner together. we left back home around 20:30 and were at home almost two hours later and i was tired so i went to sleep fast. well it was a nice 2nd easter day :-)

1st easter day

this morning i had easter brunch at my parents house and we eat in the garden. some hours later my mom and i decided to go by bike to enschede to the fun fair and so we did. at the fun fair we walked around and see which kind of rides they had on the fair. we got both two stuffed animals when we left the fun fair. when we came back home we eat diner in the garden. this evening we will go to this easter fire they made of the christmas trees

yeah its my birthday

today its my birthday and i turned 31 years old aaahhh. this afternoon my brothe richard came by and my brother albert with his wife and two kids stef and lars. the kids played some games on the wii while we talked and had a fun together. this evening we will go to some friends of us cause they are 25 years married and they have got a big party at this disco so that will be fun and their i celebrate my birthday as well. from both my brothers i got some money to buy a present and from my parents i got this digital camera a pink one. i really love it :-)

birthday party Tynke

sunday morning we went by car to the north of Holland to my mom's brother Hans, his wife, his small boy Sven and my causin Tynke. Tynke had her birthday on saturday and sunday she celebrated her birthday at her dad's house. around 13:30 we arrived at their house and we eat lunch together. after we gave her the presents and talked. she got this digital camera from her dad, from me she got this small bag for her nds and my mom gave her this card for her camera. later her sister Froukje and the boyfriend of Froukje arrived and Sven was sooo happy that they came it was just soo cute. when the camera was all full loaded Tynke started to make some pictures of the family. it was just a really fun day. its sad the day went by to quick again.

running race the english 5 mile

yesterday morning i woke up at 08:30 and got myself ready for the running race in haaksbergen. i put on my running clothes and shoes eat some breakfast went outside with my dog rocky and gave him something to eat too. than i went off to my mom's place and she was ready too so at around 09:30/10:00 we left by car to haaksbergen. when we arrived their we parked the car nearby the centre. at the square their was this tent we had to go to get our start numbers so we did. than we had to wait till 111:45 till the 5 mile started so we went in a cafe and drink some cup of tea and went to the toilet twice. time went by quick. at 11:45 we stood at the start and waited till the start shot went and than it went off aaahhh people went running of and their was this music playing and it was fun when we started to run away :-) it was one way running and the same way back but every where their were people watching and their was music so it was real fun. my mom and i runned almost all the way together and went together over the finish too with holding hands :-) after we had something to drink and than had a look at some shops cause the shops were open too till 17:00 that day. my mom and i did not stayed that long at around 15:00 we were back home. in the evening we left to some friends of us we have met a very long time ago in tenerife at the hotel we always go to and every year we meet them again and they live very close to us in enschede so we have visited them. their son is also a runner. well it was a fun day.

3rd Woolderes run

yesterday we had the 3rd woolderes run. i only have runned two so this was my second. around 08:30 i woke up and put on my runnig clothes and shoes and eat some breakfast got outside with the dog and gave him something to eat than i left to my parents house. my mom was almost finished. at 10:00 we left by car to the woolderes. when we got their we filled out this little piece of paper so we joined the race. we sat down and talked a little. some minutes before 11:00 we stood outside waiting. first the 10km and 15km left and after the 5km took their places at the start. when the pistol shot went we started to run. lucky their was no animal running across ;-) well for me it was difficult this time cause i thought to put on my new running shoes so i did run very very badly and than some muscles started to hurt badly so i almost felt like giving up but than one man who had difficulties too start to run next to me and we both finished the run together. my mom was already at the finish when i arrived at the finish :-( well someday i hope to be better than my mom in running.

2nd Woolderes run

This morning i woke up early and got dressed into my running clothes. today it was the 2nd woolderes run. around 10:00 we were at the school building and payed for the start number and a meddal ofcourse. at 11:00 the 5km started to run. my mom and i did the 5km that day but it was cold so i did not run that well. just when we were off to run suddenly this animal was running from a farm and this animal wanted to cross the road but than he bumbed into a lady and this lady felt on this animal ofcourse this animal was in panic and runned away into a field. well this lady did run the race but injured her hip well lucky she did not broke it. well i saw it happening and my mom was behind that so she did not see exactly what happend. so i did not run well anymore after that. my mom had a time 33 minutes and i had a time of 34 minutes :-( well hopefully next time i will have a better time.

birthday of my uncle Ton and a running race

This morning i had to wake up very early at 06:30 i was awake and put on my running clothes and shoes than eat some breakfast. got the dog outside and give him his food than took my stuff together and walked to my parents house. they also were ready so i climbed into the car and we drove away at 07:30 in the morning to heerenveen. 1 hour and an half we arrived at the house of my uncle Ton and his wife Anky and kids Nanda and Irina. their eldest daughter went for work and their younghest was already at work. than we took off to the place we had to write us in for the running race. we started all together the 7km and 15km at 10:30. the run went not that well. it was a nice run through a park next to a lake. it started to rain as well so that was no fun. we had a time of 50 minutes my mom and i so that was bad aaahhh. well after the run i was soaking wet and cold bbbrrr. i drove back to the house of ton and his wife with my dad and my mom with Anky. when my dad and i arrived at the house my uncle hans and his wife Reina and kids Tynke and Sven were already in front of the house waiting. when every one was back at home from the race and all cleaned up we went to the city of heerenveen and walked around a bit. when we came back home the girls nanda and irina were back home too from their work and so we eat all together bread and a cup of soup. we talked and have together. around 18:30 my parents deciced to go back home and so did my uncle hans and reina. we arrived at home at 20:00 than my mom and i went to richard to get rocky. he also really had a good time with pookie and bella :-) its sad the day went too quick again aaahhh.

family visit

Sunday morning we left very early between 8:30 and 09:00 by car to Opende (Friesland) where the younghest brother Hans of my mom lives with his wife and his daughter Tynke (16) and their little boy Sven (3). his eldest daughter Froukje (19) already lives together with her boyfriend. Around 11 we arrived in Opende. we got coffee and tea with cake and talked and laughed. one hour later or so my mom's other brother Ton from Heerenveen arrived with his wife, their daughters stayed home. some hours later also the eldest daughter of Hans arrived with her boyfriend so it got crowded in the livingroom but it was fun. Tynke, Froukje, Dorian and me decided to go for a small walk with Sven. lucky it was not that cold outside but still cold bbbrrrr. when we were back home we decided to go upstairs behind the computer of Tynke and we talked on the msn with one of her friends a guy that is after her and we all made fun with this guy :-) ;-) before diner Ton and his wife left back home. we went by car to the chinees restaurant to get diner. on the way to the chinees Dorian, Froukje and Tynke showed me some parts of the town Tynke lives when she is with her mom durning week days. On the way back to Opende they showed me the fitness centre and swimmingpool. diner was really good and we got really ice cream after :-) after diner me and my parents left back home but we had this small stop in Heerenveen at Ton and his wife's home. their daughters were on the nds playing a game so i took my nds out and my mom showed this game on her nds called craddle of rome but they liked some of my games that i had on my nds so they played for a while on my nds. around 21:30 we left home cause we also had to stop by my brother to get my dog cause rocky was the whole day at my brother richard and he had a fun day as well. when we all were back home rocky first eat something and than he went into his bench and felt asleep and woke up the next day around 11 :-) i was tired too so i slept well too that night.

Slangebeek run

Yesterday morning i woke up and put my running clothes on and made myself ready for the slangebeek run. when my mom and i arrived at the shopping centre we met Mini at the start/finish outside she was going to watch her husband and son running the 6km. at 10:30 the 6km started and i started running slowley cause i have some blessures so i wasn't allowed to run but i wanted to really badley but it went okey. just at the bridge i felt some pain and the last km my face was burning but well i made it and have a time of 42minutes and something my mom she was 3 seconds in front of me. the weather was ok. well in the beginning it was cold but after 2km it started to get warm. it was windy outside but it was dry and did not rain untill the race was finished. well up to next year slangebeek race :-)
